Importance of Education to children development

The early years for children is critical for their education development.

From birth to seven years is a period of rapid physical, mental, emotional, social, and moral growth and development.

The early years of a children life is a time when they acquire concepts, learning skills, and attitudes that lay the foundation for lifelong learning. This includes the acquisition of language, perceptual motor skills required for learning, reading and writing, basic numeracy concept and skills and problem solving skills, a love of learning, establishing and maintenance of relationships.

The early years of children have been recognized as the ideal phase for passing on values that are important for the building of peaceful, prosperous and democratic society. These values including respect for human rights, appreciation of diversity, anti-bias, tolerance and justice.

Its, important to identify and support children at risk, early in their lives, and provide appropriate treatment and care. This can often reverse the effects of deprivation and support the development of innate potential. Early intervention makes it possible for children to grow and develop to their full potential, thus reducing the need for remedial services to address stunting, developmental lag and social problems later in life.

Quality early childhood education (ECD),nursey and primary education  increase  educational efficiency, as children  acquire the basic concepts, skills and attitudes required for success in learning at later stages thus reducing  chances of failure in the learning process.

Given the tremendous and laudable governmental efforts to put every child to school, there still exists much to be done in order to satisfy every children expectation. Thus, apart from government schools in Tanzania, private or independent schools as well give a hand to alleviate some shortages and loopholes in the education domain by catering for many children to access early education and primary education as a basic human  right. Further to that, constitutionally, parents have the right to send their children in any school they want.

So as to mitigate the early childhood and primary education challenges that children are facing in Morogoro especially in Mvomero district.  Upendo Mjasiriamali Academy decides to promote the early childhood development and primary education so as to assist all children including children  to access early childhood education.
